Carey is a former top fashion model who stands at 5'10", was popular with American fashion houses like Calvin Klein and Ralph Lauren. Her father was a renowned geologist and recognized as the Scientist in 1979 by the Rocky Mountain Association of Geologists. Carey was brought up all over the planet because of her father's career. While she attended an institution called the University of Colorado, Carey began modeling on the side. The Ford model agency in New York noticed her and offered to help. The model briefly studied and lived in Paris before returning back to New York. Her modeling and academic career rocketed and she appeared on the covers of Glamour's and Vogue's and many other magazine covers. She studied full-time at New York University, obtaining her major in Literature between modeling assignments. In time, she began to become interested in acting and studied at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York. She began her acting career through a tiny character in 'Club Pardise' in 1986 with Robin Williams. White water rafting, skis as well as rock climbing are some of her favorite things to do.
